Blueberry Sauce

With a pint and a half of blueberries threatening to grow wrinkly in my refrigerator, I looked to use them for something that celebrated their sweet yet tart flavor.  This sauce lets the blueberries shine as the star of any dish you serve.

Blueberry Sauce

1 pint blueberries
2 T. water
3 T. granulated sugar
1 t. lemon juice

1. Rinse the berries and add to a small saucepan. Combine with water and sugar.
2. Simmer over low heat until sauce begins to thicken.
3. Remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice & an additional sugar to reach desired sweetness.
4. Refrigerate.
