Crab Cheese, well sort of

Purely by dumb luck and a deep desire to make crab cheese, aka crab rangoons, at home, I have contemplated my options and stumbled upon this idea. After watching one of my favorite FN chefs, Giada, make ravioli using wonton wrappers, I decided to experiment during our weekly Sunday night ritual of having a little bit of this, and a little bit of that.

Crab Cheese minus crab

1. Heat canola oil in a saute pan over medium-high heat.

2. Spread onion & chive cream cheese on half of wonton wrapper.

3. Use finger dipped in water to wet edge and fold wonton to make a triangle. Press to seal.

4. Fry 1-2 minutes per side. Serve immediately.
